What

Regenerative practice, not theory

Sustainability initiatives at Grow WILDE focus on building the knowledge, skills, and systems needed to grow food, reduce environmental impact, and care for land — at both individual and institutional levels. Programs include school gardens, food-growing projects, waste reduction and circular systems, energy and water stewardship, and hands-on learning around regenerative practices.

Wherever possible, these practices are embedded into daily routines and learning experiences — so students see the direct relationship between their choices, the land, and the health of their community.

Stewardship, embedded in school

Schools that model the values they seek to teach: where composting, growing food, monitoring water, and conserving energy are not special projects, but ordinary parts of the school day. Regeneration as a living practice, not a subject.

Purpose

Hands-on stewardship builds literacy

Hands-on stewardship is linked to improved responsibility, resilience, and environmental literacy. When young people grow food that feeds their community, they do not just learn about sustainability — they practise it. The gap between knowing and doing closes when the learning happens in the soil.
